The quality level (maintenance, cleanliness, etc) of the house or apartment you rent is a true reflection of the person or company managing the property. If you go look at a house or an apartment and it is trashy, you can bet the landlord is not responsive and the tenants are probably not overly respectful of their neighbors.
You have enough stress and things to do while going to school on a full time basis, you shouldn't have to worry about your home. A bad living experience can make your life miserable. Don't underestimate the importance of having a good landlord managing your house or apartment.
I take pride of ownership in all the units I rent. I built them, I still own most of them and I keep them well maintained. If or when there are ever problems, I respond quickly and take care of the issue for you, I also promise the landscaping and exterior of your unit will always be well kept and presentable. Lastly, and probably most important, I guarantee you will have polite and respectful neighbors. I rent to people who I would consider to be good neighbors.
